Make-Up Artist Leonard Engelman and Hair Stylist Barbara Lorenz to Receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at 2017 Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards
Emmy®-nominated make-up artist Leonard Engelman and Oscar® and Emmy-nominated hair stylist Barbara Lorenz, will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at the Annual Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards, honoring outstanding achievements for make-up artists and hair stylists in motion pictures, television, commercials, and live theater. The black tie event will be held Sunday, February 19, 2017, at The Novo by Microsoft at LA Live. The announcement was made today by IATSE Local 706 president Sue Cabral-Ebert.

Ryan Murphy to receive this year’s Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Distinguished Artisan Award
Ryan Murphy, four-time Emmy® Award-winning producer, director and screenwriter, will receive this year’s Distinguished Artisan Award at the Annual Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) honoring both make-up artists and hair stylists outstanding achievements in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater. Location Managers Guild International 2017 Awards Call for Submissions from Around The Globe
Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) announces the 4th Annual Location Managers Guild Awards honoring the outstanding and creative international contributions of location professionals and film commissions in film, television and commercials will be held April 8th, 2017. Online submissions will be open December 7 – January 9, 2017 at www.locationmanagers.org. Awards will be presented in the following categories: Film Commission, Commercial, Contemporary Film, Period Film, Contemporary TV and Period TV at the gala. Honorary Awards will include the Humanitarian, Lifetime Achievement, Trailblazer and Eva Monley.

The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) announced the winners of its 3rd Annual Location Managers Guild International Awards tonight. The event honored the outstanding and creative international contributions of location professionals and film commissions in seven categories of film, television and commercials. The black-tie awards ceremony took place at the Alex Theatre in Glendale before an audience of 500, including LMGI members, industry executives and press.
Wes Anderson, Steve Dayan, Janice Polley, Brad Silberling and Amy Brenneman to receive honorary awards at Location Managers Guild International Awards on April 23
The 3rd Annual Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) Awards honoring the outstanding and creative contributions of location professionals and film commissions in film, television and commercials.Director Wes Anderson will receive the Eva Monley Award. Head of Hollywood Teamsters Local 399 and former Location Manager Steve Dayan will take home the Trailblazer Award. Director Michael Mann will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Location Manager Janice Polley. Director Brad Silberling and actress Amy Brenneman will team up to accept the Humanitarian Award. The Cinema Audio Society Award for Outstanding Sound Mixing Motion Picture – Live Action was presented to the sound mixing team of Chris Duesterdiek, Jon Taylor, CAS, Frank Montaño. Randy Thom, CAS, Conrad Hensel, Michael Miller, CAS and Geordy Sincavage for “The Revenant”. Top honors for Motion Picture – Animation went to “Inside Out” and the sound mixing team of Doc Kane, Tom Johnson, Michael Semanick, Joel Iwataki and Mary Jo Lang, CAS.
Winners: 68th Annual DGA Awards
The winners of the Directors Guild of America Outstanding Directorial Achievement Awards for 2015 were announced tonight during the 68th Annual DGA Awards at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles. In a historic win, Alejandro G. Iñárritu won the DGA’s Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for The Revenant. Mr. Iñárritu is the first director to win the award in back-to-back years. He won this Award last year for Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).
Winners: 20th Annual Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Awards
The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) tonight announced winners of its 20th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards, in 11 categories of film, television, commercials and music videos during a black-tie ceremony at The Beverly Hilton. “The Martian” (Arthur Max), “Mad Max: Fury Road” (Colin Gibson) and “The Revenant” (Jack Fisk) won Best Production Design for Feature Film. Television winners included “Game of Thrones” (Deborah Riley), “House of Cards” (Steve Arnold), “American Horror Story: Hotel” (Mark Worthington), “The Big Bang Theory” (John Shaffner) and “The Muppets” (Denise Pizzini) respectively.
